Dear Friend,

My lovely friend Teagan gave me a copy of Cath Kidston’s book Sew! for Christmas;

It came with this sweet little needle case;

After many weeks of drooling and trying to settle on a particular project I was still unsure what to tackle first….

Eventually the decision was made for me…. the Darling Girl said she needed a new pencil-case and so we checked to see if there was one inside? Noop! No pencil-case, but we liked shape and size of the Knitting Needle Case so we used its template.

We found a fabric with dainty pattern featuring birds and their nests in soft naturals and eau de nils;

 Then we picked a green floral fabric for the lining-very Liberty of London don’t you think?

 Then we trimmed it with tan gingham ribbon and little green spotty buttons- that kind of look like little birdie eggs;

It turned out egg-xactly how we wanted it too!

It’s worth a peek if you’re a bit of a crafty gal…it might inspire a project or two.
