Dear Friend,

Normally Saturday mornings are pretty relaxed in our house, with a late breaky etc. However I was a woman on a mission this morning, so we were up and out the door by 10 am. I’ve had a busy week and it was quite cool so I wanted to rug up in comfy stretchy clothes from head to toe;

Sweater and Skirt Laura Ashley Winter 2010

Scarf and Earrings- Thrift

Love Heart Opaque Tights-Leona Edmiston-Pins

(they truly are the most fabulous opaque tights you will ever find)

Our mission this morning… find a dress fabric with 1930-50’s ladies dress pattern sketches all over it (my Mum had seen it at Spotlight earlier in the week). I had visions of making a full circle skirt with pictures of full circle skirts all over it….swoon!

Unfortunately, when I asked the very helpful girl behind the counter she said that they hadn’t received it yet- boo hoo! I did find some yummy fabrics to console me in the Clearance Section and snapped them up for my sewing projects;

Stitch in Time– will become a full circle skirt.

Acres of Roses– is destined to make a 1950’s style party frock.

Golden Angels– this fabric is destined to be my Christmas Dress this year.

I’ll share these little treasures with you as I whip them up on the sewing machine!
