Yesterday the Darling Girl and I popped into town for a spot of shopping (she had a student free day st school). We decided take tea in our favourite place,The Hopetoun Tea Rooms, located in the historic Block Arcade shopping precinct.
The tea rooms are decorated in the a truly impressive fashion with green and black traditional wallpaper and one of the hugest etched mirrors I have ever seen- it always reminds me of Sirius Blacks’ house -in the Harry Potter films.
I think they have the most impressive cake selection that I have ever seen and they are all traditional ‘homestyle’ cakes that look divine and taste even better.
Have a peak at their front window;
I know impressive huh!
It was agony deciding which cake to have as we both wanted to try something we hadn’t had on previous visits and they all looked so beautiful.
In the end The Darling Girl ordered the Chocolate Lovers Tart ;
and I ordered the Strawberry Shortcake Tart;
We had such a lovely day that we forgot all about taking an outfit photo for this post until the end of the day-so excuse the photo quality as it was snapped in haste!
