Dear Friend,

A little while back I received an email from the darling Miss Kitty from Miss Kitty Hats telling me that she was sending me one of her lovely hair pieces.

Miss Kitty Hats

Needless to say I was pretty excited.

Miss Kitty does some lovely vintage style headwear in a variety of different fabrics-from tweed to sumptuous velvet.

They look wonderful nestled amongst a victory rolls and chignons alike.

They even delve into some fun novelty pieces like this pudding hair piece…which I love and would like to buy for next Christmas.

…but I digress. I received this beautiful red velvet chapeau- isn’t it lovely!

I have tried wearing it with a few up-do’s over the last couple of weeks, but have decided I like it best with my hair out, in soft curls.

It’s made beautifully and is very well finished.

The metal comb is very sturdy and allowed me to fix it in my hair without the need for excessive backcombing and I only needed the assistance of two bobby pins to hold in in place.

I love mine and will be wearing it quite a bit over the winter months…red is always so cheerful in the cold weather. If red is not your thing then have a peek at how dazzling it looks in blue.

(Yes, that it is the Kiss Me Deadly model Patricia Belda Martinez) she makes everything look fabulous doesn’t she!
